Ballard Park Review

Ballard Park, Melbourne, Playground

Author: Kayla Cain

I’m a “find the silver linings” type of person but with Ballard Park that was a challenge. For example, they do have a bathroom, which is always a plus in my book, but I had to double check to make sure the toilet flushes before I could use it, there was no soap or way to dry your hands. It also gave off the “I haven’t been cleaned since I’ve been established” vibes. The cigarette buds tossed around the sand in the playground made the play area smell like an ashtray.

The silver linings do include a completely fenced in playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, and water access great for boating or kayaking. A rock climbing wall and tall slides make for a fun time for older children.
